Well, it depends on who is doing the naming. Some of them come from characters/people (Casper, Travis, Maya, Loki, Thor, Zammis, Zaid, Aziz, Cooter), some of them are words (Autumn, Mystic, Zaire, Angel), some are random names (Ellie, Lucio, JD, Lily, Logan, Serena), and lots of them are made up, or based off of other names/words (Zegan, Zukey, Marlo, Justus, Kuda, Ellery).

My mom likes names with "Z" in them, so most of her pets have a Z in them. My sister likes themes for her pets, like the turtles all start with L and the mice were E. And my housemate basically picks random names O _o;
