Sheet Music | #1 | |
Hi there! I'm re-learning how to play the flute and I'm looking for various kinds of sheet music to practice with. I'm especially after Elder Scrolls music (Morrowind theme in particular. I'm not good enough to play it yet but that isn't stopping me from trying ;)) I was hoping the Bethesda itself would have released a book of music but they don't appear to have done so. I'm leery of a lot of the user created stuff because it doesn't always sound right to me.
I know there's a site where you can buy single pieces of sheet music for download but I've gone and forgotten the name of it and can't find the thing. Does anyone know of reliable purchasing sites or sites with good, user made music? It doesn't have be specifically flute though that certainly helps.

Oh, I didn't know you played the flute too! :D I found a site that has some music on it, but I forget where it was. I'm always in search for sheet music for stuff. I sometimes will suffer with other instruments' sheet music since I can transpose it to flute. ^^"
If I can find the page, I'll definitely post it on here. :) ![]()

Nifty. :). At least, being a flute player, I can still read stuff for guitar and piano, but piano does throw me for a bit of a loop with the extra staff. I have a piano version of Zelda's lullaby that I've been playing. I don't know all the notes for it yet, but I just skip over those ones. ;)
I'm a little impatient. I'm teaching myself again after having to quit and I keep referring to finger chart in the back of the book to see how to make notes in the music I want to play, rather than waiting until the book gets there.

I mostly get my sheet music from youtube. There are some fans who transpose and then post it for the internet. I play the violin, and there's an okay selection of things I want. I can also play some of the piano music, but am limited by my instrument.

I think violin and flute use the same key as well, at least if memory serves. If you can play piano music you should be able to manage flute and guitar as well, since I can read piano music, to a point. My mom has a box of sheet music (piano mostly) that we're going to go through. Hopefully it will have some stuff I can play with my feeble handful of notes.
That would be awesome Ashy, as long as it's convenient for her. I'm going to print off some of the stuff that I have since it bugs me to read off the computer all the time. I haven't played my flute in a while, so I'm going to have to relearn the notes again. Sigh! musicnotes.com is the site I believe I was thinking about. You have to pay for the sheet music and it can be pricey I hear, but I suppose it's worth it if a piece hard to find. I'll see if I can dig up the site that has free flute stuff. Not sure about other instruments.
