So I looked up youtube the other day and watched some videos (as you do) lol anyways I learned to cut my hair and I'm quite happy with how it looks ^_^ I gave myself layers and thinned out my hair and cut a side swept bang.

lol so have you ever cut your own hair before?
how'd it turn out?

Congrats. I've cut my own hair and it turned out kinda bad. Was uneven, etc. I do give my sig other and out son buzz cut though.

I usually only trim it with a razor. My normal hairstyle's shaggy as hell, and going at it with a scissor might be catastrophic.

I take my electric clippers and just shave the sides of it every couple of weeks. No styling or real effort required.

my hair needs a wash since cutting its looking more wavy, almost curly in some parts. So it makes it look shorter than what it is lol other half keeps saying you don't need to go shorter wtf lol. But I's still happy

I always cut my own hair. I use scissors in the back and a razor to cut my bangs. It looks pretty good, if I do say so myself.

I usually cut and color my own hair between random visits to the hair studio.
Trusting someone with my hair is a very big deal for me, though I can usually fix it myself if I don't like the outcome.
I prefer to use razors to shears as they are more versatile when it comes to maintaining the look I like.
Asymmetrical face-framing fringe, messy rocker layers and wispy ends to add a little dramatic flair.
I like fluffy, back-combed, spiky visual kei inspired hairstyles, and I'm always doing something different.

My hair cutting days started Ages Ago when I was 3 years old.. which is a super funny story xD mom and I STILL laugh at that...

I once (when I was three or four) brought a pair of scissors onto the car and decided to cut my own hair while I was waiting for my mom.

...I looked like a cockatiel for the better part of the following month. My mom, of course, freaked out.

BI I used to do that when I was young, now my dude friend Tyler does it, which requires him to wield a razor blade close to me. I'm currently trying to grow my hair a bit longer but I am going to fail and cut it in about two weeks cause HOW DO YOU OTHER PEOPLE DEAL WITH THIS CRAP MAN!

I cut my own hair a couple times and it was pretty bad the first time and it was a long time ago because I couldn't do the back of my hair because I had really short hair. On people I had cut a lot of hair and I love doing it :) It's so much different cutting someone else hair because you can see everything.

I've just been letting my hair grow and grow...
I'd like to cut my bangs, but I'm too afraid I'll mess it up.
& I don't really want to pay to have it done right now.

I have never cut hair before.
I'm generally not very good at cutting straight.
I make paper look pretty crooked...

I'm not sure it technically counts, but it's semi-relative.
Here goes-

In highschool, I decided to shave off my eyebrows so I could draw them on as I saw fit every day.
Sometimes I would do filigree when I was bored of regular brows.
I did a decent job so far as that went, but my brother tormented me every day about how odd I looked without eyebrows while I put my make up on.

On top of that, I lived in a small rural town at the time- so I was known as one of the few 'edgy and artistic, but strange' individuals in my school.. however, it was too much for said little-town.
The things I do to myself are for me, not everyone else, and that much attention started to really creep me out.

So.. long story short, they mostly grew back.
A little thinner- saves me time on waxing or plucking: but I have eyebrows again. :D



I don't think I'll ever repeat it again regardless of where I live.
It's just too much work- especially if you're running late or hurrying for any reason.
