Mmm, I love fonts and don't usually have trouble using any font. But then there's the other factor of whether or not people can read the fonts that I can use at times. >w>

☯God I hate that part. I used one really nice one.
But I had to switch it because for some reason
it turned into symbols for people and they
couldn't read it but for some reason I could ;;

Oh, when I say people can't read is because it's just not clear for them. :3

What's going on in your case is that their computers' don't have the font you were using, and as such could not see it. If it's not that close to one of the more basic fonts (like Arial and Times New Roman) than it'll be seen as little squares. If it's close to one of the more basic fonts, then it'll just look like it. :3

☯ I used a font on Roli that I thought was a common font for
people to have. Because I never installed that
specific one on my laptop but I can see it for
some reason. Which is why it confused me.

Are you sure you weren't seeing something else? Cause Arial and Times New Romans are the only fonts part of what I call the 'basic group'...

☯ Ya. They had a font called symbol.
Not sure the exact name but like one person said
they couldn't read it. But no one else had a problem
with it that I know of. And I know I didn't install
that one since I only install themed fonts on my pc.
