The only problem is I really suck at writing. I tend to be a bare bones type writer, with no gift for description at all.

Bah, bare bones is cool. It can always be spiced up if needed. I prefer bare bones to pages of flowery bull.

Well, I'm naturally bare bones as well, I've just tried to get into more interesting habits through the years.

Well, there's nothing wrong with that. On the plus, it's usually easier to add than to cut back.
