[Rosekitten]

Upon recently finding out that dragon quest monsters will be remade and released on the 3ds I had to go find my old GBC games and start playing again. But that is not what this thread is asking.

My thoughts were to take a thread ~similar to the pokemon thread that was around in the hangouts~ where you can catch/raise the creatures from the game, breed battle whatever.
I know Dragon Quest Monster is more based on battling and growing stronger to be the best Monster master and all of that, though the idea of battles would have to be based off of base states or I would have to calculate some way of adding states to them as they leveled >.>; ~sure the information is out there somewhere~

Either way I was thinking of making this thread and I wanted feedback on it. Should I waste my time making it or should I just scrap the idea altogether.

~another idea for the thread was to have boss monsters appear at different times and depending on how many post with a certain format depends on if the boss monster wins or is defeated~

also what sprites would you rather see being used the new 3d ones from the ds games or the ole school ones from GBC?

but the idea of a thread on this kind of game sounds
interesting. I'd say go for it, especially if there
are a few people here that play it. I wish you the

Well i know at one time the pokemon thread where you catch and level pokemon was really popular

so i just did get the idea of trying this ^^; not sure how popular it will be but its worth the shot at it.

I'll probably work on making it later tonight or tomorrow. As far as others playing this game i doubt most have even heard of the series XD

☪ஐﻬ☽ I remember hearing of it. But never really looked
into it. I barley played Pokemon to be exact. I
did play a few of the games but I was way too
obsessed with Tales games to pay attention to
anything else lol.

i doubt it'll get lots but it'll be fun for the few that are there xD

it was back on the GBC anyway so the games old ^^ i dont count the new ones for the dS they are vastly different then the GBC ones

I was thinking of buying it one of these days for the
DS. Never saw the GBC ones. Sadly I can't get them since
I now own a 3DS.

I'm sure it will be loads of fun~

its ok they are remaking one of them for the 3ds :3 its due out this year ^^ in japan anyway so maybe late this year or next year for western world.

I don't really like them remaking old school games to
the newer style of graphics. If it's old school, then
I'd rather it stay that. I prefer old school games.
Heck my favorite game is Tales of Destiny and Tales
of Eternia because of the so darn cute sprites.

i know they remade dragon quest 4 recently and i liked its updates they just redid the sprites but its the same story and feel just more animated ^^

☪ஐﻬ☽ God that is one game I so wanted to buy.
I so badly want every single Dragon Quest game.
Which is why the monster game got my attention.

yeah i started with the dragon quest games on the GB and then they released the monster ones i was done with pokemon red and blue so i was like eh sure why not xD

i fell in love with them <3

im not as crazy over the new dragon quest games though.. i like the old stories better

☪ஐﻬ☽ I still have to get to learn the DQ series. I have one for
the PS2 but haven't spent much time on it yet.
I really should though.

Lol I don't think I ever found a series by, why
not try this one out like you did. But I am glad
it worked out for you. That is awesome how you
found the series. I really wished I found these
games alot sooner in life so I could of had more
time to enjoy them.

i have the ps2 one whatever it was .. i never beat it xD could not get into the story at all LOL

☪ஐﻬ☽ I think I got like a hour into the PS2 game so I don't
really know much about the game to make a
choice about it yet. But the battle system
is taking awhile to get used to. I am so used to
real time battles like the Tales games that
anything else is hard to deal with.

I think the DQ series is the only series I wished
I knew about back in the day. Especially since
there are so many of them out in the states.
