My first one was at a tutti-melon frozen yogurt store around town. I explained that I was there to make the store sucessful (and get ice cream) but becuase they were looking for a more permanent member (not a summer employee) I didn't get the job. > <

Omg XD ! =Dances around for Asami=
Alright the best advice I can give you is what my friends mom told me that helped me. First no jeans no open toed shoes, and if you have piercings you might want to take them out just for that day if they aren't in your ears. Don't go over board with the make up. Most employers like to see you but like a respectable you because you are representing them in the business world. second there were three questions you have to ask yourself: 1. What can you do for this company( IE why do you want to work there and not just money) 2. What are three weaknesses you have. ( try listing them out and see if you can make them sound not as if they are weaknesses and if you can turn them into strengths) I always forget the last one honestly. But I can say my first interview I got the job because it was an amusement park and they needed the staff. The ones after that I feel like I answered questions wrong. I think I only got the job I got now because I was extremely excited and willing to learn and adaptable. I really wish you all the good luck in the world Asami.

good luck. make sure you're presentable but not glammy - try to look and sound professional, eager and intelligent. Poggio's got great advice - listen to that.
also ask yourself how you could CHANGE the company for the better - that's one they might throw at you like they did at me and I was NOT prepared. bitches please

My first job interview was a group interview and it lasted for 2 hours with four others candidates and I came out with me and another girl after 3 interviews. And it wasn't much like an interview it was about everything in the company right down to the payments so it was more like school than an interview.
Then 3months later I quit cause my last paycheck from them was $2.00

Congrats on the interview. I can remember when I first went for mine. It was very laid back though thankfully. c:

My first job interview was at Walt Disney World.
Advice would have to be look up online what questions they could ask you, prepare yourself. Learn a little about their company. If you do that it shows you researched and cared about what is going on. Also - prepare a question for them. <3 Good luck!

Well since my first interview was only a few weeks ago i might as well share it.
I tried this new site out and it worked out pretty awesomely. I got the call the next day and missed it. I was so nervous that they didn't want me because i missed their call! When then began phone tag. One of the most nerve wracking things i could think of. Once in the interview my hands where sweaty and everything, it was bad, but i breathed deep and tried to keep my cool. The questions where easier then i thought, so that helped. The last thing that was said in that interview was "Do you think you can start Monday?" Then my nerves went every where, more or less because i now have a job and I had never had one before.>w<

:] This seems like something I can talk about! lol (Hope you get the job.) What's it for? 'Cause different places have a different vibe (Scylla touched on the outfits) some places want the whole shebang, others are fine with a nice clean pair of dark jeans and a button up dress shirt, some places are fine with a nice t-shirt.
I can't really give too much advice on that because my first job interview was a bit unorthodox. I was in the middle of getting my hair dyed black and peacock blue and the guy that owned the salon (was wearing a pumpkin suite that day for Halloween) asked me if I needed a job. Introduced myself to his wife a few days later, just asked me about what I was doing in school and bam, work. I mean I went into that interview with jeans and a hoodie. :] (She later made me take out the blue that I had gotten a few days before that.) I also had my eyebrow piercing at the time and they were fine with that. My second interview went similarly, piercings were fine, but I had to wear de-tachable sleeves for my tattoo's. That was a gas station job.
