Why do a lot of girls like to have a gay guy as their best friend?

Girls like boys who like boys .. for me its because Gay guys tend to be nicer and sweeter then straight guys D: and half the time makes me want to be a guy just so I could be with that gay guy cause.. straight guys just.. either don't like me or pretend they do just to try and 'get some'

THAT HAPPENED TO ME IN SEVENTH GRADE. Everyone knew he was gay but him :v but he was super cute and nice so we dated. Then I broke up with him. He dated like, three other girls and then told everyone he was gay. :> So it goes
