Default My boyfriend's new car.   #1

Two years ago my boyfriend had a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. It was beautiful. Though it eventually died from lack of maintenance ( boyfriend left his warehouse job and had to pick up a part time job to continue going to school, he didn't have enough money to keep up with the car's needs! ).
He got rid of the Caprice and had to downgrade to a small, uncomfortable Mazda 3.
He got a job at a warehouse during the last weeks of June.
He found another 1989 Chevrolet Caprice Classic for sale on Kijiji and bought it for $2200. It's in mint-condition, everything works and the interior is perfect.
BE JEALOUS. Here are some photos:

SO GUYS.
LET'S TALK ABOUT CARS.
Particularly old cars but you can talk about other cars.

Might sound cliché for a northwestern girl, but old school Mustangs are the best. None of that crap that's built out of melted-down barbie cars that you see today.

I mostly like cars from the 1960s and 1970s.

Unfortunately, I can't drive, so it's really a moot point. xD

Looks like it's in good shape and would be fun to drive. I like the color. I probably wouldn't buy a small car though, I'm more comfortable in big cars.

Eh....that car is a little too big...but that might just be from the angle you know? -hates big cars....makes it suck even more to park-

I starts with a mercury sable 1993...it was my best car so far T_T

Then a lincoln continental. POS

Now I have a ford taurus....it's alright. -goal is to own a brand new car with full coverage someday-

1950's - late 1980's = the best years of cars.

It is big.
Really big.
I love it. I love big cars, but I get what you mean.
A lot of new places won't design their parking spaces to fit big cars because they assume everyone drives a tiny little car nowadays.
I love Lincoln's. And my boyfriend ALMOST got a 1990's Mercury.

Thanks Neirra, I understand where your coming from too. I wouldn't drive it very often but it's my only car at the moment =/, id like to get something bigger and keep my Toyota. My Toyota has NO room in the back for other people.

I love big cars because not only is there a sixth seat in the front, but everyone, even when it's full, can fit comfortably amongst each other. Has always been that way in my boyfriend's Caprice's and my friend's Cadillacs, etc.

o: That is so nice looking. Amazing find right there.

I do miss my '86 Lincoln Town Car. Big boat. <3 Was my first car my grampa gave me. So much fun to drive. Thought my brother ended up crashing into someone and ruining the whole front loosing all value. So we ended up selling it. I do miss it.
Great travel car.

The Wandering Spirit
Oh boy, getting me started on cars... xD

For the past few years my pet project has been working on my 1960 Chevy Apache 10. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten very far due to time and financial restraints. :c

It's kind of a similar situation with the old Hudson me and my grandpa are working on, only he actually has the finances to work on that beauty.

There are several others, but I won't dive into those right now. XD

Right now I'm driving a 1993 Dodge Dakota. It's a pretty good little thing. Has a hole in the muffler that still needs fixed, but she still runs like a charm. :]

Qing, pronounced "Ching."

That's really shitty and sad. Lincoln's are amazing cars. My neighbour has an 70's Lincoln and it's teal.

It's always good to have a well-running car. I don't really like Mazda's. D:
