Default Which seat can I take?   #1
...Oh wait, I mean side. Anyway, it is I, Behemoth, the rare and magnificent!

And I see since I last visited your three little worlds, you've all managed to get yourself into yet another nasty little skirmish, haven't you? Quite silly little things you are, but I suppose I can't expect much out of savage aliens. But ah, if you must fight, then I, the dread sandfish of Deivai, shall lend you my knife and fins!

...If only I knew which side to support. I can barely tell you aliens apart, let alone decide which ones of you probably shouldn't die.

But yeah, I just logged on in the first time in, like, three months because hey, events are cool! But because I haven't logged in for, like, three months, I dunno which side to support and I can't make small decisions on my own, you guys. I am completely incapable of it. I think I might explode. ;__;

I tend to make my decisions based off what my characters would do, but Behel has no time for your lofty ideologies and just wants to kill people and/or steal some of those darling umbrella drinks he saw by that table over there. Halp?

Behemoth:

>Is a Tangi scientist/occasional mercenary from Deivai
>Is called Behel but Behemoth is his full name
>Is a shark/stonefish thing. Calls himself a sandfish, but there's probably no such thing
>Has friends in high places who are shipping him off to do a survey of the other planets and their tech, so that's why he's here
>Is actually highly toxic
>Likes parties
>Really like parties
>Does not like people interrupting parties
>Unlikely to continue liking party if hostess disdains his species
>Does not like aliens unless they can benefit him
>Actually, does not like anyone unless they can benefit him
>Is extremely vain and will side with whatever makes him look the best
>Arrogant, intelligent, more naive about other worlds than he realizes, more than slightly ditzy, and even though he probably doesn't like you on principle, he's chatty and outgoing
>Does not like magic
>Does like handsome clothing
>Likes rich people if they give him stuff
>Likes poor people if they give him stuff
>Likes stuff in general
>Likes your stuff
>It's not like you needed it anyway
>Generally thinks people should take what rightfully belongs to them
>Is not so big on hereditary royalty in general but is down with warlords as long as they gained their power through sheer force
>Did I mention that he likes parties? Because he likes to party

So...yeah!

Sounds like you're a token Loyalist.
I dunno if you like insane Queens though.

I'd say join the Rebels and pick a race that doesn't excell in magic. I however chose the magic race. It'd be easier to take down the Queen with someone as able as you are.

I dunno, the Rebels would probably have an amazing party if they won, if a superior alien were to join in it'd look good for him, and when storming through the queen's castle he could grab a drink or two, if they're not utterly destroyed. ;)
He could also.. 'win' things by being a rebel by raiding from battles. Stuff like that, just gotta view it kiddy corner. (besides the queen's masquerade is only yearly stuff and after this a lotta funds would be going back to rebuilding anything busted down from the battles, if the Loyalists win.. Less time for parties, Rebels really seem like the partying sort if they were to win.)

Oh, hrmm, I cannot say with complete conviction that I can completely put myself behind insane queens. They do put a damper on parties. However, I don't feel like those soft-hearted rebels have a long-term plan for their kingdom and I doubt they've even written up a constitution! Why, they'll be nothing more than a petty dictatorship in months and if I'm documented supporting petty dictators, they're bound to revoke my grant and it's back to the desert with me. Of course, I suppose one could argue that for the opposing side too.

I do feel like I'm leaning towards the rebels, if only because while the Loyalists have splendid clothes and likely a good dental plan, they're filled to the brim with Feryxonis and some of the little softskins confuse me, the dread Behemoth and most handsome and wise and brave of all the Tangi, with them! The nerve! It sets my fins on edge with fury! We Tangi are clearly beastmen while they're clearly manbeasts. Even a hatchling could tell the difference.

Well I can say the insane queen has even physically hurt (punishment for running during the first part of the attack) her own granddaughter.

Yes, while I don't fully understand the life cycle of aliens and what exactly is their social norms, I daresay that if she can do that to her own progeny, there's a high chance she has no qualms about others and that does bring down the high atmosphere one needs to have a good time. Very well, I shall place my loyalties with the rebels...until they inevitably turn into petty dictators and then I'll just say I tried and go back home to sell my story of rebellion and woe.

Though I do say, for a loyalist, you don't sound devoted to the cause much, do you? Not that I myself sound very devoted to any cause, but that's pragmatism for you.

...I suppose no one will notice at all if I enlist as Valyarin. They probably never look too hard at those dusty old records.

When you say master, do you say it as one would call a great artist or as one would call a slave driver? I should like to think that the inhabitants of this planet don't keep sapient beings as pets! Of course, I should also like to think that Kalin is going to send my planet a whole shipment of nuclear missiles and I think everyone knows that isn't going to happen.

I..I am a Feryxonis... Many of us are slaves, it is the reason for the rebellion, in part... it is one of the reasons.
But I follow my.. my master, he saved my life... *She peeked away, flushing shyly as her jade eyes wide,*

Hmpf, I have met plenty of beings from these two planets who condescend and call my planet full of barbarians because we children of the desert don't clutter our land with starships and computers, but my travels have done nothing to suggest that it is these worlds who are barbarians. You Feryxonis are more domesticated than I'm accustomed to and not nearly as red in tooth and claw as you could and probably should be, but throwing off the inferior hand that binds you is a noble cause, I suppose...tis a pity you aren't doing that then.

But I suppose there are those who insist that one who is saved by another owes them a life debt. Complete nonsense, I think, but I suppose it could be useful in some situations.

*The child smiled over to him, nodding as her small white, lightly blue tipped ears swiveled back and forth, peeking away, she just blushed and lightly bit her lip.* It.. it just felt.. bad to betray my master like that...
