So I got some friends to play this game, but I figured I'd post here to see if anyone else played or would be interested in playing.

Co-op Event:

Nightmare Coliseum: (13 Star dungeon is best place to farm Weapon Runes!)

The game is in Japanese and most people go "I can't read that so I won't play it." well there are guides that help you play through. I will even have the second post full of Info players can use! There is a discord chat for the reddit group who once updated the wiki, but they haven't been very nice towards newbies. (or maybe its just me)

So! Game play. Its like an RPG game where you can have friends help you through events or solo them. There are Co-op dungeons, and you even get to customize and build your own village.

Game play is straight forward, tap to attack monsters, when the attack hits tap again to start a combo chain. tap and hold to use special skills.

Rerolling if you don't get a 4star character from the gacha (restarting the game) is a really good idea. Event Characters seem to be stronger than the normal story mode characters.

GAME PLAY VIDEOS! I played up until you reach the Second Island (First Island is basically the tutorial) Use them to compare the Japanese version to the english version!

ShiroNeko Project | Rune Story

(there is an english version out there called Rune Story but they changed certain things.the story line in the japanese version would have a 'story' part and then a 'quest' part where in the english version, the story part is merged with the quest part so that is 1 less gem you get to use for gacha/shop spending.

A majority of the story seems to be missing as well. There use to be a part where you meet Baron and the female character WHILE Kyle is still with you. Now in the english version they just randomly show up AFTER kyle departs from your team.

Changing your name happens after Kyle leaves, as does the part of the tutorial that teaches you how to level up your character and weapons)

How to install: (Android)

go into your phones settings then go into Security. Make sure 'Unknown Sources' is on. Download QooApp onto your phone.

Once QooApp is installed, open it and search for 'white cat project' it should show the app titled:
白猫プロジェクト

Time Remaining to:
Run Event/Daily Dungeons/until building is finished being built/upgraded

あと = time left
日= Day　
月 = Month 　
分 = Minute 　
時間= Hour

so if something says:
あと　２　日
you have 2 days left to get that dungeon done!

this also helps with when you are building towns!

１時間２分 = 1 hour 2 minutes

Daily Dungeons

Monday : 月曜

Sunday : 日曜


Runes are needed to level EVERYTHING. From buildings to characters to weapon upgrades. Stock up on runes while you can!

Monday - Saturday there are dungeons dedicated to each of the colored Runes.

Saturday also has a Soul dungeon for farming Soul. Soul helps you level up your characters.

Sunday is the only day that does not have a rune dungeon. Instead it has a gold dungeon. Best place to earn all the gold needed to upgrade your weapons and village.

(Trick: Have a friend equip a x2 gold/rune/soul scroll (depending on the day and dungeon you're running) and equip one yourself. Run the dungeon TOGETHER! thats x4 the drops!)

Present Dungeons:

Present dungeons tend to give you gems for gacha pulls and sometimes x2 scrolls!

Sometimes it's hard to tell which is a present event quest and which isn't. Just look carefully at the title of the event dungeon and see if プレセント is ANYWHERE in the title. Normally you'll fight some silver Tanuki monsters. most of the time its just 2 large ones but sometimes you'll have to go through 2 or 3 batches of small silver tanuki before facing the 2 large ones.

Dungeon　Arrows = Secret Path?

On occasion you will accidently stumble upon a 'secret path' which will lead to a secret location if your able to beat the path's boss. you will have to do that dungeon again for the normal path but this is how you can tell a 'secret' path from the normal path:

Secret Path's arrow will be shrouded in a purple mist.

A normal path's arrow will just be blue and safe looking.

When you leave your normal dungeon to defeat the secret dungeon, your normal dungeon will have a CLEAR? above it instead of CLEAR! (or COMPLETED) meaning you need to go back and rerun that dungeon for its normal route. In event dungeons, you'll get CLEAR? when you have to obtain something in the first run, but then have to level and equip it then run the dungeon again to get the normal CLEAR!.



Clear? - You need to run again.
Clear! - You beat the dungeon/area.
Complete! - You beat the Area and obtained all 3 crowns per dungeon.
Secret - You unlocked a secret dungeon.

Leveling up Your Character:
They show you this in the tutorial but I'll cover it here a bit.

That is your 'soul board'. Click on the non-shining runes to use the colored runes you get for doing dungeons to level up your character. If you find yo don't have enough runes, run the daily dungeons.

Some times your soul board will be 'a mess' where the colors are scattered all over, where other times the soul board will be nice and neat and each color has its own path with no other color mixed in.

Locks will sometimes appear on a soul board, meaning you can only level a character up to 80. The locks will go away once you've fully received the characters full support (all 5 hearts are full in the rewards section after a dungeon) and have gone through all of their events and gave them runes for their final event.

Story:

This is only the first part of the story! It tells you what happened to the guy on the boat that you first meet! Read at your own risk because of spoilers!

When you first enter the game and it starts teaching you how to move and attack, you are a dark haired version of the character you play later on. You fight through the monsters to get to a silver haired female sitting on a throne. She tells you she's sorry, called you her beloved and the screen changes.

Now you see a red headed character, looks almost exactly like the black haired one from before but, yea red hair. He is basically who you play as. He has no dialog (so far) in the game. He's exorcising on the beach as an adventurer pulls up in a boat.

Kyle (Kairu) tells you he is searching for Sky Island and believes clues to it are here on your island. He requests that you show him around which you do. From here you go through the tutorial, meet Barron and Helena who are part of the town. Barron the Black Smith and Helena the Tavern Girl.

After a few more adventures, you eventually run into Kyatora, a white cat with a blue ribbon around her neck. She runs away from you at first but as you venture farther she'll lead you to Iris. Iris is near/close to the ruins Kyle is searching for though due to an earthquake, she has no memories of her past. (or something like that)

As you venture through the ruins you come across a wall with art carved into it. It's a letter from the White Priestess to her lover explaining that she committed a sin and could no longer be with him. She says that when he returns to the palace, to look for the wings or light, that she has hidden them from the Darkness that she had released. After reading the stone message, it crumbles and you gain access to the ruins with in.

Near the end of the ruins they find a dragon. Thinking that the dragon is guarding the Wings of Light mentioned in the message, they fight it. After the battle, Iris and Kyatora run to the exit, leaving you and Kyle alone.

Kyle informs you that the dragon wasn't a guardian of anything, but the host of 'The Darkness' mentioned in the stone writing earlier. He show's that the Darkness is now trying to use him as a host. He tells you to leave him behind for now, that he'll try to suppress the darkness and will eventually catch up to you. He hands you a Rune Driver.

As you leave Kyle behind, another earthquake happens and the ruins collapse. From there, a small part of the island your on, starts to shake again, and slowly raises into the sky!

You have found, and activated Sky Island! Barron and Helena come out from where ever they were. Turns out they were worried about you and decided to follow you to the ruins. Barron excitedly calls Iris the 'White Priestess' which confuses the girl. Upset he tells her that he had been guarding Sky Island for a long time, waiting for her return.

They then ask about Kyle, You show Barron the Rune Driver and he asks where you got it. You inform him that Kyle handed it to you before you were separated.

More will be added later as I stop being lazy and actually go through and READ the story bits. >w>,

i think the only time you get a characters motif weapon, is when the character itself comes from the event (like summer soul)

Though no one will be able to do a better job at Joxer >w>, what'is'face did a good job on that character.

If they Redo Xena, they need to Redo Hercules, the 2 shows bumped into one another quite often.

SO! I am gonna try to make videos of the starting bit of the en and jap versions of the game to show you guys just how much seems cut out and changed. So up around when we get the Sky Island. ovo

might have to edit the vids a bit cause of loading time, that and when i change from 1 app to another, the game reboots =o=

its the Reddit Wiki that has things in english tutorial wise. It's all they have. They haven't been updating it.


If I weren't so lazy, I'd make a new wikia wiki thing with Character information and a translated story line =/

40 minutes or so worth of story line is MISSING from the english version. I recorded game play from when you START playing till after you finish the first island, get the sky island and land on island 2.
