Stay Safe Fort McMurray People! | #1
I have a friend on Solia who's from that area and last night she had to evacuate. Wild Fires really out of control and it's reached the city.
I don't know if anyone here on Tris is from that area but if So I just wanted to say, Stay safe and hope to see you soon. >n< The Wild Fire seems to have started over the weekend and they thought the river would keep it away but the fire managed to jump the river. Houses and other places are catching on fire. The smoke so bad you can't even see the sky any more.. http://news.nationalpost.com/news/ca...each-city-edge So.. Stay safe.. stay alive.. DK loves you. ono

Yeah, some where going to oil rigs when they couldn't get out of the city by the main highway because they are fire protected. Planes have been flying people out to other cities and they had tankers going up the road and police with gas cans in their cars to help out people who ran out of gas. There's none left in the area.
My dad and step family live up in Fort St. John where they just lifted the evacuation order over top of my uncle's place just today because of the fire there. They had a bit of rain and snow so that might help a little but things are ugly all over the Northern interior right now. I moved out of the region end of March but keeping tabs on my friends and family up there. I don't know anyone in Fort Mac but I'm sure my friends do. Here's an image of the Fort Mac fire if it were on top of Calgary: ![]() For an American comparison ![]()

My friend Mizu, she managed to get on one of the planes that flew people to other towns. she is in edmonton now with a friend. Also so far it seems her house is untouched by the fire, though it will be weeks if not months before she can go home.

So, 15 fires are still burning, 3 out of control. The fire is out of Fort McMurray, the teams are working on fixing things, getting stuff up and running and trying to clear the air of smoke.
