Yes, the only way to gain aurum currently is by posting. However with the event we have going on you can click the feathers and swords that appear on your screen, and you can click Join The War at the top of your screen to play for more feathers and swords. These items (especially the feathers) are being sold right now, and you can also buy items in the event shop to sell for more aurum : )
