actually, as an artist who has my own art stolen it really is not, especially if the art served another purpose or was a paid art that belonged to another party. it disgusts me when my things are taken without permission especially since i am the sort to usually let people have things if i am able. it is a violation of trust and the sanctity of ownership

it is the same as if you took a book from the library without checking it out. even if you say it is a library book and intend on returning it when you are done it is still a stolen book and the library must write it up as a loss/theft because as far as they know it and as far as the rules go it is indeed stolen

silly thing though, could you have the apps in the ooc? that way they don't get lost and you can just have one post saved in the rp for adding them under spoil-links?

no, without permission from the original creator of the works it is still theft and still not allowed

this is an issue on nearly all sites, most look the other way but a few, like tris, actually make the users be responsible. that is part of why we are a site for grown-ups, we want maure, responsible, respectful users

things you did not draw or buy from an artist yourself are considered stolen, stolen art and images are against the rules, the location of the file is irrelevant

i am glad you won't let ooc chat happen in-thread, that miffs me to no end

also on 'looks' you should change it to 'description' if you have people using google pictures you can get in trouble, it is a tos violation

i mean some of the rp'ers on tris are rule-breakers and spammers, i want to weed out those who would put random ooc chatter in the rp or magically deux machina shit out of thin air
