From a neurological perspective you have strong arguments on your side, that the person and the brain are one. I do not know if you know what an epiphenomenon is but it is something that happens as a consequence of something else. Perhaps the mind or person is the result of or rather an epiphenomenon of brain and body. Naturally there are many people who will argue quite differently on the subject.

My friend was always so sweet. She was imaginative, always had the best ideas for pretend play. Pirate adventures, playing house, aliens invaders... She moved when we were in the 4th grade. That was in '98 I think. We're friends on fb, but we don't really talk-talk. It's the occasional hey how's it going, but we're two totally different walks of life now, haha. Although, funnily enough, when I moved I lived about 30ish minutes from her. I got to hang out with her a few times in high school. XD

And I was a little closer to town than you. It would take me about 15 minutes to get to either of the closest towns, but considering I was used to the metro area, it was soooooo quiet! I didn't know what to do with myself... No phone, no internet, and only cows across the street behind an electrified fence. XD

Yup. ^_^ I read spontaneous and evoked potentials which the patient generates while in the OR that monitors their neurological status.

My work is doing remote intraoperative monitoring and if you don't know what that is don't worry, nobody knows.

Fond memories... I'm really having to think about that one. lol.

The first one that comes to mind would have to be walking home from the bus stop as a little kid. There was a little girl who used to live in the house on the corner, and everyday on the way home (like less than a 600 ft. walk), she and her little sister would be out in their back yard and I'd stop and talk with them. She actually became my first best friend. XD

I lived in a cul-de-sac when I was a little kid, and me and my grandma would get out in the cul-de-sac and play baseball. My grandfather was a woodworker, and made me all kinds of nifty wooden toys. I had a golf set, pop-guns, trains, cars... :) I used to LOVE the smell of fresh cut wood and saw dust.
