The opposite is true, really. Much easier to hijack your browser with an old one. :P Security flaws are known, and most of the browser flavors have been adding more things to protect you from that. "Do not track" is a thing...and in fact, you can directly opt out of all Google Analytics without having to block them, if you so choose.

You're given fairly fine-grain controls over what sites can do, if you choose to fiddle with it, as well.
