I have to go out in our garage, there's just barely enough room out there. And, well, the term martial art actually comes from the Latin "ars martialis" or the "arts of Mars", who of course was the god of War.

And no, actually, more the other way around. I'm extremely interested in angel mythology and stuff related to it. I actually run an RP here set in the apocalypse described in Revelation.

I haven't in a while -- that was what I meant by historical European martial arts (HEMA), though. I've studied a lot of manuals and videos about how to fight with them, but I don't have much actual practice yet. I can't really do it in the shape I'm in now.

And my user name is a reference to Abaddon from the Book of Revelation in the Bible, he's the angel of destruction who holds the keys to the Abyss (also known as Sheol).

Yes, they send it in a very large box. Shipping is very expensive, though (like 100 dollars). I actually ordered mine with dull edges so I wouldn't risk hurting myself.

    And sounds perfect lol.

I mostly play video games on my PC, but I also have a laptop.

At work, I use my phone for Trisphee, but I could just as easily use my work computer.

As for doing all three things at once, plotting is mostly thinking, and I make video games as my day job, so I have multiple game consoles on my desk.

Hmm... No, not especially. Working, plotting for the future of Trisphee (not the fiction of it, that's the writers' job), and playing video games.

Sometimes all at the same time.

Haha, no, I ordered it online from a tiny smith in Ontario. I took about 3 months for him to forge it, but he said he had a lot of orders he was behind on.

And my parents made the mistake of inviting me to go see 47 Ronin with them back in January. After I spent the rest of the night ranting about how much I hated it they haven't asked me to go again. :P

No need to be sorry. I won't be up for much longer, either. 'night. :)

Not rare, really, it's the manufacturing process. And supply and demand; not a whole lot of skilled swordsmiths around these days. ;) And that's actually on the cheap end. The Albion swords are upwards of $1,200, but those are precise replicas of historical models. And for smiths who do custom order work, the sky's the limit on price.

And.... I don't think I'm looking forward to anything else. I'm that person who picks apart every little thing in movies, so I don't get invited to go to them very often. :P And most just don't catch my interest. That one definitely does, though. I think Morgan Freeman is in it too. Can't go wrong there. Hopefully.

I have lots of posters on my walls too. And I'd rather not have swords hanging over where I sleep. :P

And no, I just meant the wall-hangers usually go for about $30, my longsword was $550ish all told. Of course, I don't have to worry about it flying apart in my hand if I swing it around, so...

(This is it, for reference: http://darksword-armory.com/wp-conte...ight-Sword.jpg)

And yeah, it looks pretty cool. Johnny Depp gets shot and has his mind uploaded to the internet. Then things explode. :D

It is not a nice collection! I have about 60 useless wall-hangers (and only room on my walls for about 15 :P) and one actual legit hand-forged longsword (which cost about 20 wall-hangers...)

And I have, in fact. He made us buy his translation of some Yiddish Epics in one of his classes. It helped, though, as I got to study his writing style and imitate it for essays. ;)

And mind uploads are a tremendously tricky subject. I'm looking forward to that Transcendence movie coming out next week just to raise people's awareness of it. I doubt it'll ever be discovered in my lifetime, though.
