    I get that so often.
I'm currently Learning Life in Technicolour II by Cold Play, and the strumming pattern changes every time he does it, so I'm sitting there like "Wth.. I know I'm not a god or anything but WHHYYY -shakes fist-" xD

Thanks for the tips. : D

I'll see if it helps at all. I don't know what my problem is with rhythm - I can tap my feet/clap my hands to a rhythm perfectly fine, but when I get to strumming on the guitar, all the chords meld together and it sounds like absolutely nothing. I don't know if I'm just overexcited, or if I'm expecting something from the sound that isn't happening and it just gets cluttered in my actions. :S

    : O!
-Saw your post in the how many instruments thing-
If you want to learn better strumming, (since you said you can pick up the patterns easy in the songs), try segmenting the tab off, so even if you have to write it out yourself, how many times each chord is strummed, if you branch if off into 4's, or 6's (I usually do this in 3's myself) it'll make counting easier.
You should divide the amount in the bar of tablature into whatever you see fits, and it should usually coincide with the rest of the song.

    AND!
You should try easy strictly chord songs! : D
