I am sure you will have a great time reading about it and making up your mind. ^_^

That sort of goes for and against my idea. I'll have to look into that. :D
I guess, there is a group that believes that the structure creates mind/body/life/awareness...and there is a group that believes that those aspects are prevalent among all, and that the structure instead allows for either response or greater awareness/intelligence. I fall more into the latter.

From a neurological perspective you have strong arguments on your side, that the person and the brain are one. I do not know if you know what an epiphenomenon is but it is something that happens as a consequence of something else. Perhaps the mind or person is the result of or rather an epiphenomenon of brain and body. Naturally there are many people who will argue quite differently on the subject.

I guess I read to several things stating that because several brain signals show up before conscious decision is reached, that people don't really have control of their decisions and the like, under the concept that the "person/spirit/soul" and the "brain" were separate (essentially, the person being a construct of the brain).
(I pretty much say that the person and the brain are one and the same to a degree...and I am not explaining it well at all, likely confusing my statement...I'll try to rephrase it better later. *meekly says sorry*)

Haha, Idk what's in the mind, well I have seen brains, but that does not help much with that. ^_^

I may have to ask about the philosophy for concepts like "what is the mind" and all sometime XD

(Or the science - the science is interesting and scary at the same time)

Yup. ^_^ I read spontaneous and evoked potentials which the patient generates while in the OR that monitors their neurological status.

My work is doing remote intraoperative monitoring and if you don't know what that is don't worry, nobody knows.

Actually, yes. I don't like sour candy, but smarties are good.

    So, what's your work?
