he shooed away the woman at the garden door, she looked more like a nanny than a lady-in-waiting from the age of her. but he paid that no mind, he tried not to look at the girl they had sent during the feast-meal but he saw the way she ate, or more appropriately the way she did not refuse to eat, women usually ate before or after the meal and at most only picked at their food in the company of men, it was inappropriate otherwise and no woman in her right mind would dare do it. even stranger than that was the way she left the table, it was all wrong somehow and sent alarm bells off in his head, and so he waited behind for a minute or two then followed behind harassing servants as he went. he passed through the door and was immediately halted by the site of the lady on the ground. he quickly bounded over to see if she was ok scaring off the little garden pets as he came. he knelled down and felt her neck for a pulse, she was simply asleep. he let out a breath and rocked back on his heels. he looked at her a moment longer wondering what he was missing. that is when it hit him. he grabbed the youth by the neck and shook them awake "you spy! you are no woman!" he squeezed lightly so the newly awoken youth understood their predicament.
