he watched surprised as everything simultaneously sped up and slowed down, he saw the mast fall and the enemy invade the ship. he say roy grab at his side then at his sword. he saw too much. he shakily loaded his musket and took aim. the recoil of the weapon jarred him. he took no notice of the pain though as a man fell under his aim, all around him his comrades either filled and fired as well or took a more direct approach and attacked with rapiers and swords. he went through his six balls quickly and threw the gun to the side, he had no capacity for swords but he had to break up more than a couple brawls in his lifetime so he was not completely without defense. he charged in.
