Judith brought her hands away from him and breathed out a sigh. "Why would I say anything unless I meant it?" she suddenly felt frustrated perhaps she should have forgotten his question, maybe Rhyldrin had not really thought before he asked her such a thing. Judith's ears dropped and she watched him trying to figure out what he was thinking. When he let go of her she crossed her arms over her chest, keeping herself from reaching out for him. He seemed to be avoiding looking at her. What the hell had just happened? The mood in the room had changed so abruptly, she felt confused.
"We don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, if that isn't what you want then we can forget about it." she breathed out heavily, her voice was a bit more higher and she spoke quickly. "I-" she paused and watched him as he went to her window. "I don't know what to say to you," she was rather upset now with the situation. "I'm sorry for saying that." though really she wasn't. She didn't say anything wrong, why did she feel the overwhelming urge to apologize? She became silent as Rhyldrin bowed then left.
She stood for a moment, her mind was all over the place. She wanted to be with him, she didn't care what other's thought of it. Judith knew that what he did was dangerous, she would worry of course but she wouldn't hold him back or try to change him. She knew that he wanted her to live a happy life, she knew that he knew that they would face difficulties if they chose to be together. She brought herself to her window and slammed it close then she went to her bed. When she sat down the little dragon climbed into her lap and began to paw at her for attention. Judith looked down at him, she smiled weakly. She brought her hand back and forth against him gently petting him.
------
"That is fine," he said to her, he smiled warmly. "There is no need for you to apologize, mi'lady." he bowed his head, when he lifted himself he began to walk slowly, her hand still in his. "May I have your name?" he asked, Bryon had not asked for her name yet, he felt like a fool. "My apologies, I was so distracted by our conversation that I forgot to ask for your name. I did not mean to be rude." he smiled weakly hoping that she would not think poorly of him for such a small mistake. "My name is Bryon, you may call me that instead of Lord or Sire." Bryon never allowed anyone else to call him by his name, but she wasn't just anyone.
He waved two guards to come to them and ordered them to open the doors to the castle. When they did Bryon stepped outside, his eyes grew wide at the crowd that had gathered outside of the castle. He called over one of the guards and spoke to him briefly. "Don't let anyone be a fool, I trust my people but I do not wish for any violence. I will not tolerate it, if you must strike a villager then do so." he hissed, the guard shook a little in his boots and nodded. He went off, when he returned with more guards Bryon felt better. Though he was still concerned for his own safety and for the safety of the queen.
The crowd whispered, what was happening? "My people," his voice was loud, they fell silent and looked up at him listening. Bryon smiled at them, though it was certainly a nervous one. He was still not use to having all eyes on him but he would push his phobia of public speaking to the side. He had to be confident and calm or at least seem that way. "I have good news," he looked over the crowd. They did not stir, they watched him waiting for him to speak again. "It is true, the talks of peace had been revived and today peace has been created. The war had ended and from now on Dark Elves and Light Elves shall live together in harmony!" the crowd erupted with cheers, the overwhelming sound of clapping filled the air. Bryon turned to the Dark Elf queen and smiled. When he looked back at the crowd he spoke once more. "A celebration shall be held tonight! This day shall be remembered forever!" he was pleased with the other's reaction, though he knew that not all Light Elves would accept the peace. Their hatred would not be tolerated.
------
The festival had began only a hour later, most villagers were thrilled when the king announced that peace was not between the Dark and Light Elves. Those who did not agree remained in their homes, the king had warned those who tried anything would be firmly punished by himself. He would not allow the hatred for other's to continue anymore. The festival was held in a square-shaped area in the capital. It was large, everyone fit comfortably, there was plenty of room. There was decorations, music and of course alcohol and food was being served. A fountain rested in the center, a massive one and children played by it. Torches had been lit to light up the surrounding area. Bryon sat peacefully in a chair, beside him the queen in her home. He was speaking to her, getting to know her a bit. They looked forward to the future.
Judith had left her home, she bathed and changed for the festival. The set up amazed her, it was absolutely beautiful. Unlike anything she had ever seen before. Her father had stayed home, he seemed rather nervous about the peace happening. She didn't try to convince him to come out, she knew how he felt about Dark Elves and there would be plenty of them at the festival. She was surrounded by familiar faces and of course some that she had not seen before. She pushed passed a few people as she watched some villagers dancing near the fountain. Judith was rather drunk, it was a festival after all. She was not one to drink but considering what they were celebrating she had not hesitated to down more than a few drinks. She didn't know where Rhyldrin was, though maybe it was better that they did not speak. She was still mixed up about what had happened earlier.
