he wanted to say he had a second shirt and that that was enough but it seemed incorrect to interrupt the other's attempt at sleep, he laid there instead the feel of the others heart just loud enough to be felt. it was strange but at the same time comforting. he contemplated this strange turn of events, his life had been peaceful before, consistant too but in a matter of days everything had been turned on it's head. he left home, he joined a pirate crew, he found out the man he admired most did not only return his feeling but returned them ten-fold. and he found out vampires were real and not just something to scare night travelers. he mulled over this list of revelations one by one, it was amazing how far his world had expanded in a week. he could never have grasped it's magnitude otherwise and the realization that there was still so much more he did not know was daunting to say the least. he wondered how much more uncharted territory he'd cover before this journey was through. it was too much to think about.

he sighed and snuggled back into the chest of the other, it was warm and the foreign heart against his own back soon lulled him into sleep
