hetrochromia is just an error in development when it is something someone is born with. imbreeding is not the cause of it and unless one or both of your parents both have it you probably won't get it no matter how close the genetic line is. it's just improperly dispersed melanin. they are a bit like freckles in that way

i have mild heterochromia iridis(though it is harder to see now that i am an adult and my eyes have darkened). when i was younger i had goldy-bronze flecks smattered about in my irises and though they've gone dark in the last decade or so you can still see the distinct colour differences

fun fact; eye trauma can cause darkened spots too
