I'm very surprised at the amount of actual sleep we need to get, really. I found this website that talked about different sleep cycles we could use. There was one, in particular, that got me thinking of changing to, if work permitted.
It's called the Uberman cycle. Basically, 6 times a day, evenly spaced out over the course of 24 hours, you get roughly 20-30 minute "naps" which can actually add an extra, roughly 5 hrs to your whole day. I dunno if I could ever get used to that, because I do like to sleep, but it definitely sounds interesting.
I get that feeling a lot, in different ways, though. Sometimes I'll be physically tired, other days my body will want to stay up and do something, and usually I'm up for another hour, 2 hours after that.
