I am on the other side of the coin, I want kids but currently cant have them. We are waiting until Alpha finishes OCS to even start trying, and yes i have a mental countdown in my head with it.
I am hypoglycemic and will probably have gestational diabetes while pregnant, I have talked with both my OB & regular doctor about it and what could happen to the baby if it does occur. Really that is about the best advice that you can get, go talk to your OB & regular doctor about what your meds could do to a child during pregnancy and see if you can be switched to different meds that have a lower risk of birthing problems. I know my sister has minor depression and she went off her meds while trying for a baby, and from what I saw her mood swings lessened during pregnancy due to the hormones but each person and pregnancy is different.
Adoption is an option though if it is too risky, though many companies don't give the parents as much time off for an adopted child as they would for maternity leave. It can also lead to other problems later in life, like questions of why their birth parents didn't want to keep them, unknown health issues, donor problems for severe health issues, or a lawsuit if the birth father was not informed and didn't sign over rights to the child.
