he pulled away when it finally stopped moving and blinking slowly he found the human unresponsive. he was fine with that and moving free of the nest went to finish the meal and explore his temporary home

(he will be looking perplexed into the fridge when yours awakes there are only a couple fish left and mine is shivering from cold XD)
