it is not that either sweetie, it is clarity and fluidity, if it is spoken the way it is said without stilted short stops or basic and simple vocabualary.
i can't stand;
he stopped. he looked around, "hi suzan!" he said.
=______= i much would rather have
stopping he turned towards the girl, "hi suzan!"
when i read the first it sounds like this;
he stopped. (pause for a second reread) he turned around, "hi suzan!" (pause) he said. (pause again, reread, then look on the next line for what he said, then go back to the last part, read the last two lines flat without the exclamation point)
and that is if i /don't/ have one o those days where the whole post is an incomprehensible jumble ^^;
