Yeah, I'm really glad that he has had a good life with us and it has been a long one (he turned 17 this year)
Sadly he is still in pain and is crying out at times. It's really disheartening sitting here typing and he's in a box by some water curled up and crying out. He seems to be trying to pee, so he probably has something wrong with his kidneys or he has an infection in his urinary tract. But, we can't do anything to help him. Don't have the money to take him to the vet, that and with him being as old as he is and he has been slowly going down for awhile, it wouldn't do too much to improve the quality of his life.
It's really hard right now. But, I do hope when he does pass, he is peaceful.
