Default A Trisphite’s Introduction to Avatar Customization   #1
Welcome to Trisphee! It has recently been suggested that there should be a guide about avatar customization, so now one has been created!

This guide will go through:
  1. How to choose a base.
  2. How to use the shop system (to buy items to use on your avatar).
  3. How to place items on your avatar.
  4. How to rearrange the layering to your choosing and how to save it.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to post them! :3

Step One: How to choose a base.
To choose a base, click on the button to access the main avatar page. This is the screen where you will fix your layering once you choose the items you’d like to wear.

From here, you would click on the buttons to choose which sex that you would like your avatar to be. Once you’ve chosen your sex, you’ll see tons of different skin tones for you to choose, so choose the one you like the best (you can always change it for free later!).

Once you’ve chosen your base, it’s time for step two! :3

Step Two: How to use the shop system.
To browse the shops, simply click on the tab and you’ll be brought to the shop landing screen. From here, you can browse the shops!
  • Archaic Antiquities is the shop where the monthly donation items (MDIs) and the monthly Aurum donation item (ADI) are placed. MDIs require you to have purchased runes, either by donation or buying from another user.
  • Eclectic Trends definitely goes by its name – it has tons of different and useful items.
  • Event Shop is a place where users can turn in their event currency for event-specific items – temporary and will not always be there.
  • Lavish Luxuries has a mix of shirts, pants, sweaters, etc.
  • Threads has most of the basic accessories that you’ll use on an avatar. It also has the Pandora items, which are currently free for all users!
  • Trinkets and Tresses is the spot for all your other cosmetic needs – hair, eyes, and noses. You can also find earings and necklaces here, too.
To purchase an item, simply click on the item you’re interested in! If you click the thumbnail, you can see a preview of all the item’s shades. Once you’ve found an item you like and you have the required Aurum, simply click the ‘Buy Now’ button (or click ‘Cancel’ to return to shopping). Once you’ve received confirmation that you’ve successfully purchased an item, you can go to your inventory to customize your avatar! To see an illustrated guide to shopping, click here.

Step Three: How to place items on your avatar.
Once you have some items, it’s now time to customize your avatar! To do so, click on the corresponding tabs: hats, tops, bottoms, feet, and accessories. Most items on Trisphee have different shades of a color; to equip an item, simply follow these three steps: find the item you’d like to equip, pick the color of the item (if it comes in multiple colors, and then, finally, pick a shade of the item you like the most.

For example, say I wanted to equip a ‘Basic Cropped Jacket.’ To do so, I find the item, choose a shade of that item, and it’s now equipped on my avatar. I do this same process for every item I want on my avatar (which means all items will continuously layer on top of each other until we rearrange them in the next step). To save the avatar, click save; to remove all of the items from the avatar, click clear; and to return to the avatar that is currently saved publicly, click the revert button. To see an illustrated example of all this, click here.

Step Four: How to rearrange layering on your avatar.
One of the most interesting things about Trisphee is the fact that YOU control the layering of your avatar. You want that skirt to be over that shirt? You want eyes that layer over your hair? Not a problem. To do this, all you have to do is rearrange the items. It might be a bit confusing at first, but all items (even eyes and other ‘default’ features) are considered items so that they can be layered accordingly.

To start, let’s take a look at one of my current avatars. Click the tab in the avatar screen to see this screen:

Once you’ve got the layering to your liking, all you have to do is hit save! Your avatar should automatically change, but if not, you should refresh the page or browse the site for a bit (you may want to clear your cache/cookies, as well).

Congrats! You’ve made an awesome avatar! :3
