Default How do you bake a turkey?   #1
I like to stuff mine with apples celery and onions. I have some other secrets as well! I’m self proclaimed pro of turkey baking!

I was wondering how other people like to bake their turkey? Is there a secret you deploy?

Rebooting....
One year I basted mine with flat ginger ale and it was really nice, but I can't talk anyone else in the family into trying it.

I cheat and make a turkey burger. Otherwise, Alton Brown method as far as I'm aware. Never cooked an actual carcass.

This year my father-in-law took the turkey to a catering company to have it smoked.

As for what I made myself... Plum spiced beef brisket. :9 The secret ingredient is Chinese five spice.

If you think turkey is too dry, you should try the dark meat. Also, roast the turkey sealed in foil, don't fry it or bake it open to the air.

Some very excellent turkey I had a few years ago was fried. The whole thing was dunked in hot oil, and it was amazing.

As for baking, personally I let other people do it. :P

Fried turkey CAN be good, but it's really sensitive to temperature and cook time.

I'm not sure! But happy thanksgiving! My father in law made the turkey. Then the day after on black friday he found some for sale for only 40 cents so we have 2 turkeys now! LOL
