Yeah, caretaker type stuff can take some getting used to but you adapt. The people that go into the field though, that do it for several people are saints. At least the ones that actually care, not the neglectful ones.

Yeah there are so many horror stories. It's the reason my mom won't hire anyone for my dad.

There's probably some decent ones, but it's probably a gamble. It was really strange with what happened with my mother, the case worker sent us to some retirement centers for some reason...not at all what she needed. But seeing them in person was such a reality check. Same thing with my grandfather.

Yeah, it seems like it happens even at the higher end facilities. Part time nurses you can at least get a better idea with maybe.

Babies are weird. Animals are far cuter.

Speaking as someone that was a long term facility caregiver for three years, there is an appalling number of people out there that are just in it for the paycheck, but there are also amazing people that really honestly care. If you're wanting to make sure that your loved one gets some of the best care possible, contact the National Association of Heath Care Assistants and check to see if there is a facility or individual in your area that they suggest.
Also babies are delicious right at a year old, they're big enough to be an actual meal, but still tender. Answer my riddle to earn a prize!
You'll always feel it, but can never see it. It's strong but shatters easily. You can give it away but never hold it. What is it? Pm me the answer, no cheating please! | ||||

But puppies and kittens are cute straight from the womb. Birds do have an ugly stage, though. Even baby warthogs are cute.

Baby turtles and snakes are cute and are expected to take care of themselves straight from hatching. If they can't then they die.
