But I don't think they were too expensive and they lasted like...a year and a half or so, which isn't great, but is about average for most of my boots. I think the sole issues tends to happen to me a lot because I have wide feet, but it's almost impossible to find boots (especially ones less than $50) that are made for wide feet. So over time the slight atretching causes the tops to split from the soles. But that's just speculation.

I've gotten a baby doll three fifths done in the past couple days. It's freehand crocheted out of scrap yarn, and it uses a vintage thumb sucking head and hands set. I've given her beans in her bum, and she's got her arms, so she's sitting there sucking her thumb and looking pensive while I figure out how to make legs. Tried two different methods that didn't work today, then tried a third that I think might, but I had to put the project down because my eyes were going phut.

But no pictures. I wouldn't have a use for pictures of my boots, no matter how much I loved them.

so i'm working on a rainbow blanket. it's huge, and parts of it are slow going. but I've finished the blue, and have now started with the purple, finally!!!

i'll be setting it aside for a little bit, starting on friday. there's a fun event over on Ravelry, called the Ravellenics 2021: Summer of Crafting that goes from July 23rd through August 8th... so i'll be working on a few other projects for events such as the Sweater Triathlon and the Sock-Put. and maybe the WIPs Wrestling for the blanket to try to get it done.

the one thing to remember for the Ravellenics is their one rule: Challenge yourself and have fun!

I was thinking I probably wouldn't do anything for that, but they have a mittens/glove gategory and I have a glove prototype I need to make before Aug 1st, so actually may enter that one. XD
And possibly the Wip category if I don't finish Tam's dragon tomorrow. Lol
(I'd do the Wip anyway as I have a shawl to finish, but I think the glove prototype is gonna take up most of my crafting time.)
