If I drop something and I'm barefoot (which I almost always am around the house, I don't like wearing shoes or socks at home), I often pick it up with my toes and pass it up to my hand instead of bending over.

Yeah, I'm more like Coda. I almost never wear socks when I'm at home.
Actually, I have a pattern I need to dig out, once I've finished a few things, for some "yoga socks" that has variations for no heel, no toes, and both, which I LOVE for some nice yoe-less winter "at home" socks. Unfortunately the first pair I made was too tight in the bind-off and shrunk a little in the wash so I couldn't wear them and I haven't made a full pair since then. XP

i have three skeins of yarn that i've gotten throughout the year (one in feb, two over the summer) that i need to make in to more socks. i have a few hollyday things first though. then the socks. and my blankets. XD (i have one in progress, getting near the end... and two more in planning stages!

I have a lot of sock yarns that I've stocked up on over the last few years tbh. >.>
One was gonna be for socks for a (now former) friend in pretty, dark wine/berry reds and teal and the rest are half in the pastel unicorn-y color schemes and half in other assorted non-pastels. Oh! And I also have a fiery red/orange/yellow one too. I'm good at making plans, but not making items... ;>.> I also have a partial skein of a gorgeous self-patterning sock yarn (or possibly a sock-weight baby yarn tbh), but I don't think I have the label from it, which is frustrating because I was hoping to find/buy more of it (which would probably tricky since it's kind of old and probably discontinued). But I still need to finish up the custom cat plushies before I do any other projects, so I'm gonna try to work on them more this week.

I tend to think of "stray" as a multi-purpose term referring to any potentially lost or homeless cat. Like, maybe the cat is just lost, but maybe it really is purely stray and in need of a home.

kitty was crying and shivering on our back deck, hubby brought kitty in, kitty had some water and threw it up. :( coat is kinda matted, daughter thinks kitty might not have been taken care of. but kitty is friendly, so there's that.
i posted a picture on our Nextdoor community, we'll see what happens

Aw, hope the kitty isn't in too bad of shape and can find its home or find a new one.

so it turns out kitty isn't very well. she's somewhere between 8 and 12 years old, has a heart murmur, and kidney issues, and her body temperature was cooler than normal. being outside certainly didn't help any of that. she had to have humans, but the consensus was she'd been outside for quite some time - longer than she should have been i think.
i posted on my local nextdoor site and i don't think anyone looked at it. i looked at lost cat postings on facebook too, and none of them matched. basically, her quality of life would not be good, so hubby made the decision for the vet to send her over to the rainbow bridge, and hopefully some cat or dog is there waiting for her.
