Am I...Haunted? | #1 | ||
2 nights in a row now, while working at the museum, I've had some pretty weird experiences with stuff falling near me or as I walked by.
Last night, I was in my little office type nook in the facilities supply room/area and I heard something and noticed half of an outlet cover plate land next to the desk. Took me a minute to figure out that a glass panel that was standing next to the desk must have somehow shifted, hit the outlet cover just right to have broken and launched it. (Pics can be supplied if necessary for clarity.) Then tonight I walked by the big dollhouse art piece, getting some trash cans ready to be placed for a reception opening and when I got halfway down the hallway away from it, I heard a loud THUMP. And walked back to find that one of the dolls had fallen off and landed on the floor. (Pics can't be supplied for this one due to location and me not wanting my boss to get mad at me for being "on my phone all the time, texting and playing games" even after I've clocked out for the night.) What even is happening? Why me? Pretty sure there are logical explanations for both of these, but it's still pretty weird...

Your friendly Ginger witch here!
First off, I do not think YOU are haunted. An object in the museum? More likely. If YOU were haunted, this would be something that followed you everywhere. Seeing as you have only reported occurrences in your place of work, I would hazard a guess it's that location or an item housed there in. Important question though: do you feel like this is a threatening presence? If it doesn't feel like it's something that is negative, you should be fine. Just make it clear that you are not to be scared or followed home (in the case the entity isn't attached to an object at the museum). Most human spirits aren't there to cause real trouble. ^_^ I hope this helps! <3 call me 'kitty' || questing || all teh monies || || pseudo-goth | rennie | geek

Lol. In all honesty, I don't personally believe in ghosts, demons, hauntings, etc.
It was just too weird of a coincidence. I had to tell the world of Trisphee about these weird things. XD I do feel like it is a threatening place. Not because of any spirit presence, but because of the presence of hypocritical, backstabbing co-workers and a boss who uses me as a scapegoat for almost everything.

My mom would say it's a poltergeist, and then complain about what Hollywood does with them because they aren't supposed to be malicious or evil. They are more like pests, unplugging all the appliances in your house for instance.

I thought poltergeists were the external manifestation of teen or preteen turmoil? That's the most recent theory I've encountered anyway, that poltergeist activity was primarily active in the homes where sensitive youths were living. Not sure whether the gist is that the poltergeist is attracted by the psychic turmoil of puberty, or was an extrasensory projection of that turmoil from the kid.
