I skimmed through the threads, and to my surprise there wasn't already a thread about this.

For those of you who don't know, Firefly is a science fiction series set in a future where humanity exists on a number of worlds throughout the galaxy. The inner worlds possess the majority of the wealth and technological advancement, while the outer worlds are poorer and used mainly for raw materials. The series follows the travelings and outlaw-ness of the crew of the Firefly class ship Serenity.

Before asking.....yes, this series was the precursor to the movie Serenity.

Unfortunately it was only 14 episodes.

So, discuss? Favorite character(s)? Plot points? Episodes? Etc......

Definitely a good science fiction series, and it "died" before its time. Only 14 episodes.....

I've only seen the first three episodes, haven't got super into the characters yet

alot of people were talking about this in the 'cancelled shows thread'
which might be when it wasn't made yet.
I love the series. I didn't like the movie as much.
And I wish there was more to the series, as a whole.
(Like if they couldn't finish the show, I wish they wrote books or something)

To many things left unanswered. Even with the movie.
They did wrap some things up, but not everything. AND I feel the characters would have better been served in the series if it wouldn't have been canceled.

I fear there was to much around focus on the women that sell themselves etc/ I understand why they added them into the story as such, but its not a "family" show if you know what I mean.
young adults/middle aged people was the market they shot for.
If they had reached a little lower, the concept could have really been a hit.

I really like all of the characters, but I have to say Kaylee was my favorite.
