it's basically a knit or crocheted blanket where a color equals a temperature range and then you create a design that ends up being a color record of the temps for the year or other time period you pick - this is my blanket as an example

Trystan: ah, I love your 2015 one! Very pretty! I'm not a huge fan of the rainbow look for my own blanket, but it can make picking colors easier at least and looks nice.

Tam: A temperature blanket is a blanket where each row can be a different color depending on the daily temperature. Basically you make a color chart to determine what color each temperature range will be (as a small example, 10-19°=pink, 20-29°=blue, 30-39°=purple, etc) and then, typically starting on January 1st though I suppose you could start whenever you eant, you make one row per day based on the color associated with what the temperature was that day and repeat every day for a full year. Or just write down/track the temps and do several rows at a time, whichever works best gor the person.) I think most people use the average temperature, but I'm doing what the high temperature is per day.

as for the temps, i couldn't decide which one i wanted to use, so i made 4-row hexagons with the low temp in the two center rows and the high temp on the outer rows.

for whenever i do it again, i have a note to use the average temp for the little squares.... but i also have a note to do two little squares per day.... so i might experiment with making the first square the low temp and the second square the high temp and see how it looks...... whenever that will be, that is!

Was alone on reference desk tonight and it was pretty quiet except a few patrons asking for time extensions on the computers so I got 4 months worth of temperature data for Derpy's blanket written down. 8 months more to track and 10 more skeins of yarn to buy and I can start his! Lol

Ugh. Stupid e-filed taxes got rejected "due to incorrect 2020 pin" even though I had it on a post it note with my tax info so I wouldn't forget it so now I have to jump through more hoops. XP

I had forgotten my 2020 pin and reset it but forgot to note that the number with no writng around it was the new one.
Thankfully after some annoying navigational paths, I think I have successfully resubmitted. Hopefully it sticks this time.
Taxes are a pain.

Update: after a second "nope", I finally got it! Taxes have been accepted!
