Awesome for today: my fave coffee place is still open, so even though I shouldn't (because social distancing and all that), I'm gonna live dangerously and continue supporting the local business until they are inevitably ordered to close.

Ginny is an amazing patient. Dr. Cross says only 5% of patients go home on day one, but she's doing great and he doesn't see any need to keep her under observation. We're home now!

If you've ever seen an old picture of someone with a big ice pack tied to their head and a super swollen cheek after having a tooth extracted... imagine that, except on both sides and spreading all the way through her lips too. But aside from the aching, she feels fine, and her appetite is healthy. All liquid diet though, because her jaws are bound shut. (Elastic bands, not wires, so in an emergency they can just be broken to get into her mouth.)

Now is definitely a good time to support local businesses. In a safe way, of course.

The coffee places here are doing curbside only, at least.

Yeah, a lot of the coffee shops here (if not all) have closed their seating areas, but still offer to-go orders. My fave place actually is a drive-through place with a walk-up window for people without cars, so hopefully they get to keep going for a while, though I don't think they'll get to...
All "non-essential" businesses are being required to close starting tomorrow. It includes bars, casinos, and restaurants, but I don't know where coffee shops falls in that...

my starbucks near my office job is getting remodeled, so they don't even have any tables in them ... so it's def. take-out only XD

my state governor has declared all "non-life-sustaining" businesses need to have closed by thursday night at 8 p.m. - which was only a few hours ago from the time i'm posting this. so that's my retail job...

as for my desk job? i'll email my boss on monday if i don't hear anything, but there's only the two of us at the office, and it was decided that when my boss is in, i'm not; when i'm in, she's not. i have no idea if i posted that here or not, i've mentioned it in like all my forums the last three days or so XD

Thankfully coffee is still considered an essential. Coffee shops are open, but for take-out/to go. And a lot of the actual shops with dining areas are recommending that people call in orders so they can limit the number of people inside.

michael's is doing curbside pick-up - it's pretty much their Buy Online PickUp AT Store (instead of IN Store). honestly, I'm glad that's not me that's being called in (yet) to pick items and package them for sale. i mean, i'd rather work, but i'd also rather not get sick... or worse, pass it on to someone else.
