So recently, I have been trying to get out of my comfort zone with my art.
All artists know...or at least most of them know, unconsciously or taught, that line is a large large part of your art. It helps shape the picture, can give it feelings, moods. <3 ALL THAT GOOD STUFF.

But anyway, I drew this last night, in hopes to help me get out of my 1-size-line rut. Do you guys think this is helped me any? I sure do, it kept me up all night until I finished this little piece.

Well, I do like it a lot, if that helps? It looks really good, and getting out of your comfort zone is the only way to get better ,so....^^;

I like it a lot, but my personal preference always tends to go towards line when it comes to lines or no lines

Truthfully it depends on the style. I have always been taught to work with tone and blocks of color so my line art never really looks good. I think since you seem to work well with shapes that you like art looks wonderful. My only draw back is that your line work tends to get lost in the color especially your more delicate lines.
