Last book I finished was "Stalking Ivory" by Suzanne Arruda, it's in a series. The book is one of the few female lead books I've ever been able to read, and liked (not trying to sound sexist here, but I tend to be able to enjoy and understand male leads much better) I actually wasn't going to read it ever, but I was on vacation and it was raining and my grandmother recommended the first book of the series I read that one within a couple hours and then read the next one the next day. Very good mystery books.

pixal: that doesn't sound sexist. i'm a female and i've read an equal amount of books with male and female leads, but i tend to prefer male leads more than female.

i think i rather liked Fahrenheit 451. and Brave New World i found it odd but fascinating. i'd have to say one of the books i really enjoyed that i had to read for school was The Chosen. i just liked it. i was about the only one in my advanced English class that did. everyone else liked The Good Earth, which was one of the two books we had to read over the summer.

but i guess the last book that i read without having to be forced was Mira, Mirror. i've started Eragon, though school started so i'm reading my textbooks more than anything xD

Knots and Crosses by Ian Rankin. I liked it, in part because of the writing style and in part because it's set in Edinburgh which is an awesome city :)

Last book I had the time to get through was Blood Ninja, good book. It wasn't the easiest read I've ever had but the detail and story line kept me wanting to know the end. I can't wait for the sequal!

The most recent book I finished reading was Chibi Vampire the Novel, volume seven. As the name says, it's basically a light-novel based off of the Chibi Vampire manga. However, it isn't directly related to the manga at all, so you can read it even if you don't keep up with the manga (such as is my case). I rather enjoyed this volume- it had an interesting twist, much more then compared to the other ones in the series~
