Oh no! I hope your hand heals soon. :(
My aunt is a seamstress and she used to injure her hands a lot.
She had carpal tunnel too. (I still don't really know what that is)

But I saw how in pain she was often ;-;
I hope your hand heals quickly! I always feel like hand pain is one of the worst because of how often we use our hands!

There are some tendons and a nerve bundle that run through a particular opening on the inside of your wrist (known as the "carpal tunnel"). When something passing through that tunnel gets inflamed, for example by keeping your wrist bent at an unnatural angle for extended periods of time, the nerve can get pinched. This causes pain or numbness that can run from the tips of your index and middle fingers all the way back to your elbow.

If you notice it early and take steps to avoid stressing your wrists (such as wearing wrist braces or improving your posture when working) it can heal, but if you keep overworking your body then it can result in chronic pain that can sometimes even need surgery to relieve.

Back when I used to live with my aunt, she would spend hours upon hours sewing every day.
After dinner, she'd go into her sewing room and sew... then it was my bedtime, and after that, she'd go back to sewing.

She wore a wrist brace for a long time.
But I don't think it made a difference because she would still sew all day.

My hand's just really sore. ;-; But I'd better rest it for today...at least as much as I'm able. >->; As a right-handed hand-er, I need my right hand to live..and stuff. Can't have nerves gettin' inflamed or damaged. :( I just can't. My left hand is a clumsy dork!

on a serious note, i think it'll be a weird but cool challenge to do start doing things with your left while your right heals. you could become a rare ambidextrous person by the end of it. my left is also clumsy, but only because of inexperience. i actually think my left hand drawings improved since i did "joke" arts a lot. also, a helpful infographic for wrist exercises (for future PREVENTION, not healing):
