I'm still deciding on what my first book of the year will be. I'm thinking maybe one of the shorter ones on my list as I know the next couple months will be busy for me.

I discovered last night, there are a few books I must still have packed away in the garage from when we moved lol I was getting frustrated because I couldn't find some and new I had more and then it dawned on me that we still have like two large boxes we never brought in and unpacked.

oh wow. i've gone through all my boxes, so i know what's where. mostly.

Yeah, during unpacking (two years ago lol) I think we decided to leave the last couple of boxes because at the time we didn't have all the bookshelves and what not we needed and then we got a couple but forgot that the boxes were still just hanging out in the garage.

finished my first book, and am on to the second!
so the series I've started now is the Bibliophile mysteries, all i know is she's a rare book restorer who gets mixed up in murder mysteries XD
anyway, the series isn't in my county library system, but it's in the county next to me. so since my county card has an Access PA logo on it, i was able to get a library card from the next county over too!
so - i got book 1 via an interlibrary loan, which means it comes from whatever county system that has it available first (i think?). i got the book yesterday..... and it came from two counties over from where i used to live! I'm amused. XD

I have also finished my first book!
And also have been attempting to deep clean my apartment. Which at this point means I have lots of boxes in the living room to donate to whichever organization will take them (whenever my friend will make time to help transport them as well), small piles of stuff I'm keeping but don't know where to put just yet, smaller piles of stuff that still needs sorting, and lots of piles of laundry that need done before being sorted into keep and stay piles, but I can't do all at once because there's only a single washer and dryer for 13 units, so it's hard to find time that it's available on a day when I don't have work.
And I have to remind myself that, just because from an outside perspective, it may still look like a disaster, it's not. It's actually a ton better than before I started and getting better every day.

Kinda wish I had that Mary Poppins ability to snap my fingers and have everything just magically go back to it's place.
Would make this whole cleaning thing much faster. Lol

Ngl, I didn't realize I was so bad at one point that instead of washing dishes, I had jammed them all into my cabinets. Out of sight, out of mind apparently. I regret my past self's decisions as I work to make them right. And I'll be cutting back on how many cups and other things I keep as I work on a more simple, minimalist apartment. Do I need 10 coffee mugs? No!
