it's been a minute. i finished The Every, which is the sequel to The Circle. that gets a big yikes! o_O

and now I'm reading another Warriors book XD

Ugh. Having a hard time getting into the Warriors book. It's good but doesn't hold my interest as much as it might have when I was in middle school.

i started reading Warriors when my daughters were in middle school, and I'm still reading them all these years later.

just finished the latest You book, and now I'm back to Peril in Paperback, the bibliophile mystery i'm up to reading

The more I read, the more I like it, but am still unsure if I'll continue to read the Warriors books. Idk.

Am trying to work on reading at least 2 chapters per day as well. Gotta work on my time management at home still. Struggling to balance cleaning, reading, crafts, and other distractions... >.>
Haven't finished any books in a while.

Update: Have also decided to not track the kids picture and easy reader books on the list here, though I am counting them on my Goodreads list. Mainly because I want to see if I can hit my goal without them and it's easier for me to see that with separate lists.

as for warriors, if you don't want to ready it past the first book, that's your call. all books aren't for everyone. :)

Yeah...we'll see how I feel when I finish the first book. I'm torn because it's a relatively easy read, but idk if it's the writing style or what (maybe my brain being bad aka:depression too)...I just feel like I'm trudging through it.

i find (for me personally) the Warriors books are really quick, easy reads, like potato chip novels.

But yeah...idk yet if I'll continue the series. I find that little mystery books are very "potato chip" novel for me. Picked one up yesterday and am already farther in it than I got with the Wrrior novel in a week. xP
I think because they generally have a predictable formula so I can skim a bit more and not miss anything important.

Finished first Warriors book. Still debating continuing the series. They kind of left off on a cliffhanger so I kinda want to keep reading but also it took me FOREVER to get through it.
Maybe I'll try the next one in a few months.
Might have more time then anyway as the Joann I work at is moving locations and the staff has to re-apply if they want to keep working. And tbh, I'm kinda burned out and am thinking that, unless my ass-hole landlords raise the rent for the third year in a row, as long as I watch my budget and don't over-spend on extra stuff, I can afford to ditch the part time job. It's only one day a week anyway and if I have more free time, maybe I can finally have the energy to make (and sell) some of my loom knit things. I mean, selling 2 shawls a month would practically make up the loss of income from Joann.
Or 6 large plushies.
Not that I expect to craft that fast tbh, but I'll maybe have the time and energy to at least try. And I do have a lot of shawls to eventually finish by blocking and weaving in a few ends that I can start with.

ANYWAY...TLDR; Finished the Warriors book finally. Might read more later but idk yet.

well i kinda giggled.

so the warriors series are mostly set up as 6-book series. there's also the 'Super Editions' that go into the back story of one of the cats, that if you read them in publication order, you already know a little bit of a teaser about it.

the book you finished-Into the Wild, right? - is book 1 of 6, and so you know that 1 through 5 will end on cliffhangers. and 6 (i think) gives you a teaser if you decided to continue to the next series.

in other news, i finished Naked in Death, and then another quickie, Born of Blood. i hope the short, 8 chapter, large print books from Kenyon (McQueen) are just a tie-over while she gets her writing mojo back. if you believe her fan newsletters (and i have no reason not to), she's been through a mess of a personal life the last number of years. and i hope her previous writing style comes back soon.
