I don't know about the 85, but the 89 is about uhh the temperature of coffee? Or sth

Maybe if 89 is the temperature of coffee, 85 is the temperature of tea. Or the temperature of coffee when you don't bother to grab the thermometer and just do a close estimate. Or the temperature when your coffee machine needs to be decalcified.
