Yup! She's my doll that got thrown away in miniature. I have three (four, if you count the one I'm slowly sewing from a printed panel) other Annies, but I always wanted a Knickerboker with that floral print on her dress. And the tiny is so cute.

((Yeah, I used to have raggedy anne and andy dolls that I think were made by my great grandma, but they got sold at a garage sale ages ago. :c I mean, I didn't really have any sentimental attachment to them and humanoid dolls kinda creep me out tbh, so I probably wouldn't have them in my apartment anyway, but I almost wish I still had them.))

finally got back to working on my skirt. Took one full panel of the outer fabric out, and it turns out the lining fits three panels much better, as in they're the same width. Meaning I can just do gathering stitches through both layers and add the waistband on top all nice and neat.

Also...could be my sleep-deprived brain right now, but am seriously considering taking apart some falling apart boots (the sole is coming off one of them pretty badly) and using the boot tongues to make a simple pattern so I can modify a pair of knee-high boots I bought a few months ago that don't fit around my calves. Because they also don't have tongues. The boot parts are just sewn together in the front with grommeted flaps sewn on for a mock tongue, but I think if I cut the seam open, add tongues, and move the grommet flaps (or just remove them and add new grommets), it will give the boots enough flexibility to actually fit since the laces will actually have more give and adjustability...
And since they're knee-high and I won't be wearing them for MANY months, I have plenty of time to procrastinate on the actual (probably minimal) sewing. Lol

Lol. It's a project that I want to do, but it can wait until I have a lighter task load.
90% of my desire to do it is just being mentally drained and wanting something that I don't have to worry about screwing up. And destroying already broken boots both sounds cathartic and gives me anxiety because I loved those boots and don't want to give them up.

Awww. Do you have the shoe repair places in malls there, like we have here?

None that I've ever seen. We only have 1 mall. And it doesn't really have any small local shops in it because they charge way too much for their rent so only major corporations can afford it.

Back to the topic at hand, I haven't been doing much sewing wise or creative wise, but I'm starting to get slightly motivated again. ;_;
