I just lined up two more interviews! One of which is a second one! So a higher possibility of having a job soon.

Mine are usually $10 with insurance, which is really nice.

I got a new job! I think.

I worked a three-hour shift already, but it doesn't feel real yet. When I get my first paycheck then maybe it will. It's within walking distance so I don't have to waste money on bus tickets. Which is a plus.

It's very old school pizzeria. They haven't asked for my pay info yet, but I think if they asked me to come back already and gave me a uniform I have it.

Ugh. I had a deadline at work so I haven't checked in lately.

so much argh.
we had a sewer line inspection ... last monday, i think it was.
and we failed.
but i feel like we knew this - we knew the sewer is what my dad would call ‘original equipment.’ it’s old. and i’m we’re totally on the hook to get it all fixed nice and pretty. which is NOT a piddly little amount.

we've had plumbers out to look at it, and there was a possibility of one type of fix, but apparently we have too many bellies/bulges in the pipes under the house.
so when it’s all done, we’ll also have to replace the flooring as well.
our best estimate is like $12K.
so we’re going to see about adding to our home equity loan, and when we asked our mortgage guy how that would affect the house we’re buying, he said he’d need to see the terms and payments, and see how that would affect the monthly ratios. but that’s after we get approved for yet another new amount. we just did this last year, too.
there’s also asking my mom, she said we could ask if we needed anything. and, just for giggles, i set up a gofundme, posted once on my facebook, and have raised exactly what i expected to. XD
so if anyone knows where to get like $25,000 that will never have to be paid back, let me know. XD
and on top of this all, i changed up my birth control pill last month that could take another 2 months for my body to sort itself out. so in the meantime, i’m feeling like a defective typewriter. *sigh*

Oh man, that suuuucks. That's not something like a cosmetic thing you could just say lets knock off some of the asking price for either b/c it's not passing inspection. Ugh, I'm so sorry. That sounds really frustrating and like a hassle to try and get resolved quickly, not to mention not cheap at all. No need to apologize for venting that's understandable something to need to vent about.

I like to think that one day I'll be able to, but I know I'm pretty much always going to be stuck in my parents' house until I die. Then when they go, I'm not really sure. I've been trying to make plans, but this world is built for two.

at this point, it's not really the home owning per se - the new owner will have a brand-new sewer line! - it's the home selling. can i just wave a magic wand, and it's all fixed instead? XD

Man if magic worked the way it did in the movies... lol though that would be horrible for society I think the long run of things. Too many selfish and lazy people.

I will be sending you good thoughts though in that you're able to come up with money in a timely manner and the repairs go smoothly and well just so you can be done with all of this quickly!

we're able to get some of the money from my mom (we'll just add it in with the other loan Mom gave us and we're slowly paying back), and i spoke with another plumber who's coming out tomorrow for yet another estimate, and they offer financing through a third-party company that we've dealt with before, so that's helpful as well.

I'm sorry to hear about that Jester. No one should have to live with a past abuser if they don't want to. I hope you can at least find another room mate.

I was supposed to go to a job fair earlier, but dad wasn't around to drive me so in another two weeks then... I still want to find full time employment in spite of my new job. I hope it'll be full time by the time I'm done training.

Trystan, that is very helpful and I'm glad that's one less thing off your plate. I mean it's still a process but glad to hear you're going to be able to get it taken care of!

Jester, what allergy do you have? Either way it sounds frustrating. And no one should have to live with someone like that. I've had some bad roommates but that's insane and I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

Dalhanahue- oh it is. and this morning, it all got figured out. the estimate yesterday was amazing, and we qualified for the financing. they can start the job on Monday! and we have an airbnb for us and all the cats for the days we can't be at the house as well. yeah, it's an expense we'd rather not have, but stuff happens.

I'm pretty sure this is the final thing our buyer needs so that he can move in after settlement. once this has been approved and all that, i get to tackle my list of warranty transfers and a few address changes. some i won't need to do until there's an order that needs to be placed (cat food, cat meds, my laundry detergent subscription, etc)
