Have put in my notice and discussed it with the boss and January 8th is my last official day as a janitor at the museum! (Still keeping my front desk job there though because that's not a bad one and I'll need the hours.)

still contemplating - due to news i got last week about my current retail job - interviewing with my competition, and leaving current retail job. there's still something i need to look at there, which hopefully is still where i think it is. but then my younger daughter asked me "do you know how hard it is to get a retail job in january??" plus, i'll need to be available from open to close on fridays and saturdays again.

How hard it is to get a retail job in January? These days, probably not that hard because people would rather get paid to sit at home and claim unemployment than actually work so most places (here anyway) are hiring.

But in a normal year, it can be a bit tough as labor costs following the holidays need to be cut so not a lot of people are looking to hire.

Hmmm...hopefully whatever you end up doing works for the best!

you're right about the job market these days, because it's NOT a normal year. i think daughter was thinking about how it would be if it was....

i have to check on something first, before i do anything. i'm hoping the covid response binder is still in the breakroom, and hope there's a section in there of "what to do if someone at your store tests positive"... and go from there.
