It totally makes sense. I wish there could at least be more movies with The Shape of Water aesthetic. Even though it can take up more time and money.

I hope there will always be some use for practical effects. Maybe 3D printing will help. I could have sworn there was supposed to be something new with The Dark Crystal.

I'm always wishing he would work with other people. Tarsem Singh is another one. I kind of hope he doesn't work with the Hannibal/American Gods cinematographer because his vision seems to take over.

He's a great cinematographer, but not so much a good director or writer. Although, a personal pet peeve is how much credit he gets for the visuals in The Fall, when really he borrowed heavily from Baraka. It also helped that he worked with one of the greatest costume designers.
