They're coming out with a smurfs movie. I'm sorta excited for it, since I use to watch the Smurfs when I was little, though I'll probably just wait until it comes out on rental. (Refuse to pay movie ticket price for it though. ;p) xD

Anyway what does everyone think about the trailers for

I finally got to see a commercial about it. I used to watch the smurfs when I was little, and mostly enjoyed the antics (though I loved the cat chasing them, I don't know why). But the trailer...why are the smurfs making dirty jokes? Why are they...evilish? I didn't quite get it but the trailer really turned me off because of that :/

I think they did that to make it more attractive to teens. >.<
Honestly if it was exactly like the cartoon I probably would not even bother seeing it.

It looks kind of interesting, even though I didn't watch the smurfs much as a kid. It has alway confused me that Smurfette was the only girl smurf.

I think the movie promises to be cute... not overly incredible, but cute. I'd watch it on rental.

The only thing I got from the trailer was that the company didn't want to spend the effort recreating the Smurf's world in a CGI reboot. Get Peter Jackson or Andrew Adamson on that shiz, and they would make it look decent at least.

I saw the trailer last night! It looks interesting.
Something I wouldn't mind seeing... just not in the theater.

to seeing. I hated what they did with
the Chipmunks movies so I never saw them.
Trailers turned me off big time. Didn't
expect that I would like the Smurfs movie.
I don't like the voices for them though,
especially Smurfette, she sounds like a
dude.

I might see it when it's on DVD. From the reviews I've watched on it, they havn't praised it much.
