Our Story Thus Far:

"Alice journeyed to Wonderland many years ago, and to say the least it wasn't the nicest of places.
She had her adventure, met some interesting characters, and made it home in one piece.
Now the wheels of fate are turning once more, and adventure is calling out to those that seek it.
Wonderland is opening up to more souls then ever before.

...but things have changed.
From the playful chaos of Alice's Wonderland to a twisted land of pain and torture.
The rule has fallen to the least likely of hands...
The Mad Hatter has taken the world and made it his own.
His crazed ideals becoming reality, and thus Wonderland has turned to you to save it.


Among our heroes is "Sara", (Sara is not a for sure name yet)
the granddaughter of our beloved Alice,
She is falling into Wonderland,
and is expecting the beautiful lands her grandmother spoke of in her stories...
She was about to be proved very wrong.
As her journey continues will she lose her reality in the mind of the Hatter,
or will she keep her wits and find a way to save us all...?"

Ideas / Plots Twists / Etc.

- Story based in both "Wonderland" and the "real world"

- Characters that are not human in wonderland look human in the "real world"but have some of their powers still. (No where near as powerful though)

Most will look like themselves in both worlds. (same face or whatever) But some, that are more powerful can mask themselves and look different. This is a small percentage.

- The "Gates" between worlds are not always open, and not everyone can pass between gates. There will be "locks" of unknown sorts at the moment.

The Hatter wishes to get to the real world as his next place to concur. He owns Wonderland and its become quite a twisted place.

I think I'd like to expand Wonderland to anything the mind could think of. Like one moment your walking down a path in the forest and then things change before your eyes. It would fit with the Hatters' Twisted Wonderland theme well I think. But that can be up for discussion.
We'd have to make rules about how much we change the settings though. And/Or something that really makes everyone aware of it. Like bolding or underlining or something.

Maybe like [Scene Change] at the beginning?

And maybe the rule of no scene changes while in the middle of something important. (aka battles, or important conversations)

Late Night Brain Storming // Things that haven't really been talked about in full


I had a really weird idea.
So wonderland is in dire need of a hero, which is where "sara" comes in, but in wonderland already there are rebels. We always here about the queen of "hearts" but I don't remember anything about any of the other suits.
Maybe the rebel leader is the king/queen of one of the other suits?
Spades possibly. (Spades is my favorite suit)
But very few know that he/she is royalty. Only maybe a handful. So they would be "undercover" incase one of the hatters men got into the rebels to disarm them. There would be another member posing as leader.

I hate over used plots.

I'd like all the suits in the roleplay somehow and I think I worked it out nicely.

-The Hatter and his followers take over the house of Hearts. As well as the symbol.

-The spades become the rebels. First rebelling against the Queen of Hearts. Now against the Hatter as the don't see him as a fit ruler.

-Diamonds are the guns for hire. (Ren has asked that his character be the leader as it would fit nicely with what he has in mind)

- Clubs are split, some serving the house of hearts and the others on the run for not falling in line like the hatter commanded.

Also to make things go smoothly between good/evil as far as the roleplaying goes.
We will need at least two different people willing to be each side. I will be encouraging more then one character per person since so far there is four of us. A nice balance in the sides would be a good thing to have.

I'm not sure how to make these ones look.

I was thinking the Caterpillar as an older man. Wise and always smoking that pipe from the disney cartoon.
I was thinking of MAYBE making him age backwards.

The March Hare, I was thinking of giving him a more crazy look. He IS the Hatters right hand man after all. Maybe going with homicidal maniac in a straight jacket feel. Fur black. Scars. Red eyes. Sharpen teeth?

The White Rabbit, White fur neat clothes. Probably suit. Keeper of the gates maybe.
Blue eyes. And lets keep his rushed/ (nervous?) manor? He will be highly decorated for his loyalties to the people.

Hows this sound?

I was thinking there would be royals of the four suits, but they don't have to be known

like the rebel leader, is going to be the only surviving "royal" of the spades clans.

For the heart "royals" they were killed
plain as that.
I can get into detail in a flashback in the rp itself

diamonds is Ren's thing. He's running it how he'd like

clubs are a split faction because I don't have a plan for them yet.

I'm planning on playing the rebel leader as one of my characters. (Aka Twisted Fang carrying a blade made of a Jabberwocky's Fang //and yes she will have a real name too)
I haven't gotten to writing up her character sheet, and I haven't gotten to writing up any of the others either.
I'll try to do that either before I go to sleep or tomorrow.

Now I plan to have all of the Hearts killed off. (meaning the Queen and her people from the original Alice) But I'll leave it to a vote right now. Logically I don't see them living. I feel the people would have said "Off with their heads" but thats just my opinion.

I'm interested, but before I fill out the character sheet may I inquire as to how active you want the posters to be?

It depends on how active everyone can be. I have a full time job, but I plan to post at least once every 2-3 days. More so if I can. How active do you think we could be?

This is basic planning stages. Honestly the more active the better but I understand that life can get in the way.


And the character sheet is just an outline. I'm not sure if I forgot anything

2-3 days works for me and it seems resonable. It gives those with jobs leeway if they cannot get on every day yet keeps it going enough for those who are on more often not to lose interest.

And as for the outline, I think you covered everything.

Whats your opinion, should it be open post or make a turn order?

Both have advantages and disadvantages...
I'm not sure what would work best for most people

And I thought 2 -3 days would be good. Its hard for me sometimes to post cause of everything I'm going through but as long as someone bugs me about it if I forget then I'll post.
Normally I'm pretty good though.

Personally I'd recommend Open Posts. In my experience they seem to last longer and be better content wise. I would recommend asking others who also express an interest in RPing this also, simply to see what works best then go with majority or which one you believe will be best.

I sort of do. I was planning on being a Wood Nymph, simply because they have a wide range of playability before they start to see inhuman. It would also give the view of the forest and how it suffers/does not suffer under the Mad Hatter's rule.

Maybe having the Hatter as an NPC so anyone could play him (unless someone wants to play him)
